Marking 34 Years of the ADA

This year we celebrate the 34th anniversary of the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act! The Americans with Disabilities Act or ADA was signed into law by President George H.W. Bush July 26th, 1990. The ADA is a historic civil rights law protecting the rights of people with disabilities.

The Independence Center – The Independence Center is one of nine Centers for Independent Living in the state of Colorado. As a disability resource center, we help people with all disabilities access skills and resources to gain independence in their communities.
